September 24

Water levels at the Long Lake Inn sailing dock this weekend have never been this low, ever! Compare this to these sailing videos taken in September 2016 where we were easily able to sail in this same area. We have been sailing at Loudon Park fishing float for the last few months now, and after watching some of these videos, I can tell you I don’t miss the extreme shifty winds (over 90° shifts in a second) at this location.

Mar 2021 – Pandemic Projects

Since Long Lake sailing has been put on hold due to the Covid-19 lockdown, Martin has been busy with IOM related projects the last 6 months. He has built a beautiful IOM float tank, a small portable mark setting and rescue boat with a trailer, and a 4 boat carrier that fits on the rescue boat trailer. Now we just need this lock down to be over so we can get back to sailing. The last photo is a mast bending jig that I built.
